Meme

I have been tagged by my new blog-friend Jo of Frutto della Passione for a meme. This is quite an interesting way to get to know other bloggers and for you to know some facts about me. The rules for this meme are:

-Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
-Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
-Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs.
-Tell them that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I met my husband while rock-climbing. I was the lead and he was my belayer (the one that kept me secure.) Fitting, isn't it?
2. I organize my cutlery and my kitchen knives by size. Freaky, anal, call it whatever you want, but I like order in my kitchen.
3. I always read magazines from back to front.
4. I have been to the top of the Ritacuba Blanco 5,330m (17,487'). # 46 on the list of 50 Most Prominent Peaks on Earth.
5. My favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. Love it or hate it, there is no middle ground here.
6. I am double-jointed, my thumb can fold backwards at a 90 degree angle. (pictures upon request!)
7. Some of my work is in the graphics collection of Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

I'm tagging my friend, neighbor, and new blogger Bee in Italy. Artist extraordinaire Amaretto Girl. Food Goddess Paola. Ultimate Blog Party pals Kristen and Curiosity Killer. Anyone else who will like to do this meme.

Oooh - this is a hard one, I'm going to have to think about it. Thanks for the tag!

Looking at your "weird" facts once again, I realized I don't have double-jointed thumbs to talk about... nor a boyfriend... nor a husband that I met through rock-climbing (which I think is TOTALLY cool btw).

I totally dig people who do rock-climbing. They have the best bods.

CK, I met my husband, oh about....TWENTY years ago! I used to rock climb then, now I am afraid of roller coasters! I blame it all on becoming a mom. The body of a rock climber, I think I remember how lean I was... here again, became a mom and... all the flexibility I still have is located on my thumb ;)

Too, too, too funny! I read magazines back to front too!
By the way, there is an Expat get together in Florence in April. Go to http://www.msadventuresinitaly.com/blog/expat-gtg-in-italy
for more details, and pass it on! I don't know yet if I'll be going
type at you soon!

It will probably take me most of the day to come up with seven interesting things about me. Is interesting the same as embarrassing? Because I've got a slew of those! Thanks for the kind remarks on my post today too! I had to tell my vanity to simmer down!

fruttodellapassione, great minds read magazines alike! Thanks for the info on the ex-pat reunion, I am considering it, we'll see.

WATF, embarrassing works for me! It is open to interpretation, and you can just bypass the whole tag thing, and do your own version of your list.

Beatriz! I love that you call me a "Food Goddess"! What an awesome compliment!
You know, I can also bend my thumb backwards! I got that from my mom...it was her favorite trick and my dad would always say "eeewww"! ;)
I will try to follow the meme as soon as I get a chance. Things are still hectic here! Today I'm baking cookies for Kirstie's school Easter party...about a billion of 'em!

Take care!

Paola, now I see your face when I write to you, isn't it funny how we can get to know each other via our blogs, and sometimes we have not even seen each other's features? Have fun with cookies, Nico and I are making brownies for our weekly recipe.

Rock climbing! I am in awe. And I love the pieces of your work posted in your sidebar -- are any of these part of the L.A. museum collection?

Anno, I am in awe too, as I would not dare rock-climb at my ripe age of .... let's leave it at that. I dare run nowadays, my feet touching earth every step of the way.

I am exhausted. I did the meme and am not sure I managed interesting, but I tried my best. Why not try the other meme I also received from my one other blogging friend.
